Should I buy the Dual Number SIM with a UK and US number and free incoming calls in the USA?
If you intend to travel to the USA
or have contacts in the USA, then buy
the Dual number SIM.
The Dual Number SIM also works in more African, Middle
East and South American countries than our standard SIM.
Why? If someone calls you on the UK number when you are in the US, you will receive calls for free - this means HUGE SAVINGS. Also, when making calls when in the USA, you will be charged at the same rates as if you were in Europe. We have made USA and Europe one "Zone" for the dual Number SIM. If you use your dual number SIM outside of Europe or the USA, then all calls are charged as per or standard tariffs.
If you have friends, customers or clients
in the US, they can conveniently call your US number on the SIM
cheaply. If someone calls your US number, you will be charged a £0.15
($0.25) per minute surcharge in addition to any existing incoming call
charge on our rate sheet. For example, if you are in Europe you will be
charged £0.15 ($0.25) per minute to receive the call as there is
no incoming call charge in most European countries. However, if they call
on your UK number, you still receive for free.
If you will not be going to the USA, or do not have
contacts in the US that might want to call you on a US number, then buy
the standard GeoSIM. But do check the rates as some countries on the
Dual number SIM are cheaper than the standard SIM.
At GeoSIM we believe in transparency and Plain English. We endeavour to keep our rates simple and straightforward.
No smoke and mirrors
No connection charges
No monthly fees
No minimum usage to qualify for cheaper rates
No credit holding fees
What you see, is what you pay. No clawing back of unused call credit, No freebies enticing you in the short term, but charging you in the longer term.
We are a well established Global SIM provider. We were one of the first International SIM / Global SIM providers and have seen many come and go over the years.
We pride ourselves in our customer support and really try to treat all of our customers at a personal level, rather than just a "number" - no pun intended!
From our experience, cheap headline rates and "gimmicks" mean hidden charges elsewhere, poor service or low quality call routing over "budget" carriers. We have quite a few "discruntled" customers move to GeoSIM due to poor service or hidden charges.
