How To Personalise Your GeoSIM Voice Mail Greeting

To record your own voice mail greeting on your GeoSIM international SIM card,

1. Dial 121 or *121#
2. Press 0 (mailbox options)
3. Press 1 to record your Unavailable message, press 2 to record your Busy message, press 3 to record your Name and Press 4 to record your temporary greeting).
4. Record your greeting and press # to stop recording.

Press 1 to confirm your message.

You will then have the option to listen or re-record your message.

All options are prompted when you dial into your voice mail.

GeoSIM’s Text2TopUp Service back online

GeoSIM customers can now use Text2TopUp to add call credit to their Global SIM card with out the need for Internet access.

Text2TopUp has been upgraded allowing customers to top up by sending an SMS from any of the 200 plus countries GeoSIM has coverage in.

Customers are required to register for the service in their online account.

Customers who had previously registered for Text2TopUp are also required to update their details and preferences before they can use Text2TopUp again.

New Call Forwarding Charge to Iraq

GeoSIM call forwarding charges to Iraq mobile and landlines have been increased from free to £0.10 or $0.15 per minute.

Call forwarding to Iraq at weekends has been reduced from £0.14 / $0.21 per minute to £0.10 / $0.15 per minute.

These changes take effect from 1st April 2011

All GeoSIMs Now Enabled for Roaming Data

GeoSIM Global SIM Cards can now be used for checking email and surfing the web using Prepaid Roaming Data.

Data connections are available on over 305 networks in over 125 countries.

There are no monthly fees, activation fess, contracts or minimum usage, simply pay for what you use, when you use it.  At the time of this post, we are unaware of any other Pay As You Go data plan any where else in the world.

The data “add on” complements the global roaming voice and SMS service and can be used in smartphones & dongles.

Data can be used on any unlocked phone or dongle that allows you to set up a new Access Point Name (APN).*

To set up your GeoSIM for data, simply locate the APN set up option and create a new connection with the APN “mobiledata”, no user names or passwords are required.

* Some Blackberry devices do not allow user configuration of APNs.  Please check with your particular device. GeoSIM is unable offer advice regarding APN set up on Blackberry.

GeoSIM voice mail messages now sent as an email attachment.

GeoSIMs new voicemail system now sends your voice mail messages as a .WAV sound file attachment to an email.

Voice mail to email allows you to listen to your messages on your Smartphone or PC adding convenience, speed and best of all free of charge.

How it works….

When some one calls your GeoSIM and leaves a message,  you will immeidately receive an email with the message attached.  Simply click on the .WAV attachment and the message will play using your PC’s or Smartphones media player.

The email will be in the format of:

Subject: New Voicemail Message from +callers number

Message:

You have a x:xx long new voicemail message (number xx)
from +callers number, on Day, Month, Date, Year at hh:mm:ss AM/PM

Online playback of voice mail messages is no longer possible from the SIM admin area, but you can still listen to your messages from your handset by dialing 121 (charges apply).

Text2TopUp offline for upgrade

GeoSIM’s Text2TopUp is currently unavailable to allow for upgrade work to be carried out.

During this period, all top ups must be carried out online via the GeoSIM website www.globalsimcard.co.uk
